Osisko Development (NYSE: ODV, TSXV: ODV) CEO Sean Roosen relates how the Cariboo gold project in central British Columbia is about putting new science on an old resource, like how the company advanced Canadian Malartic to a $4.1-billion sale.
“The big exciting news right now is the reception of the permit for the 5,000-tonne-a-day permit for the underground mine,” Roosen told The Northern Miner‘s London Symposium last month. “That’s got us going very hard and excited.”
All permits are in for Cariboo and Osisko plans to start the $588-million construction in a few months. The underground mine is to produce about 1.9 million ounces of gold over 12 years.
