The sixth hole drilled by Deak Resources (TSE) on its Magusi base metal property in northwestern Quebec intersected 9.5 ft. grading 8% zinc within an interval of 18.5 ft. grading 5.5% zinc. The values came from downhole depths between 2,159.5 ft. and 2,178 ft. The company is exploring for additional base metal reserves below the main Magusi orebody.
Deak said hole 6 also cut a separate zone of sulphide mineralization which averaged 1.9% zinc over 32.5 ft. Two other deep holes, collared to test westerly strike extensions, missed their targets.
Hole 9 is currently testing a depth of 2,000 ft. to provide additional intersections in the Footwall copper zone, which has yielded previous results of 8.2% copper over 10 ft. and 3.3% copper over 32.5 ft.
