THE DIAMOND PAGE — Kimberlites elude Gerle, Monopros

No kimberlites have been encountered in the 16 holes drilled to date during a spring program on the Doyle Lake project in the Northwest Territories. The drilling is focused on the LA 1-25 mineral claims, south of the 5034 discovery.

Twelve geophysical targets have been tested in a program that has thus far spanned 1,850 metres. Drilling continues to test prospective targets at the head of two separate indicator mineral trains.

The Doyle Lake project is subject to an agreement between Gerle Gold (GGL-V) and Monopros, a wholly owned subsidiary of De Beers Consolidated Mines (DBRS-Q). Monopros holds an option to earn a 60% interest in the project by spending $4.6 million by the end of 1997.
