Labrador News Roundup — Niatak assays confirm samples

Assays on drill cores from the Niatak Island sulphide showings, 30 km east of the Voisey Bay deposit, confirmed the results of earlier surface sampling.

Goldnev Resources (VSE) and Starcore Resources (VSE) have assays on four of the five exploration holes drilled on the Niatak Island electromagnetic conductor. The longest intersection, from hole 4A, assayed 0.26% copper, 0.17% nickel and 0.058% cobalt over 6.4 metres, part of a sulphide intersection of 8.6 metres.

Assays in other holes had concentrations of copper ranging from 0.15% to 0.71%, nickel from 0.15% to 0.49%, and cobalt from 0.051% to 0.162%. Goldnev and Starcore have applied for a permit to drill 50 more holes on the prospect. The companies hold four other properties in the Voisey Bay region.
