Custom-made herringbone gears and pinions, used in kilns, calenders and mixers are available from Gearench Inc. of Clifton, Tex.

Using an AutoCad design program and a computerized production control and scheduling process, the company can produce gears with military precision.

Gears are made from ductile iron gear blanks and 4140 heat-treated, stress-relieved steel bar stock. Diameters range from two to 54 inches.

Gears of other materials, measuring up to 72 inches in diameter, can also be shipped. Circle Reply Card # b
