Surface and underground drilling by Hendricks Minerals (CDN) continues to intersect shallow, low-grade mineralization over broad widths at the Cross Lake gold-silver project in Colorado.
To date, two underground holes and three surface holes have intersected stockwork mineralization at the past-producing mine, situated near Boulder. The best intersection from underground drilling averaged 0.126 oz. gold and 2.45 oz. silver per ton over 66 ft., while the best value from surface drilling ran 0.29 oz. gold and 30.64 oz. silver over 8.5 ft. Hendricks has also completed channel sampling underground. Between 80 and 100 samples, each measuring 5 ft., were taken across stockwork mineralization adjacent to previously mined veins. Best results were 0.11 oz. gold per ton over 95 ft. and 0.23 oz. gold over 35 ft. Hendricks believes the stockwork system may be amenable to bulk mining.
With delineation drilling now under way, the company plans to start drilling two adjacent prospects, Caribou and Boulder Cty., both of which will be evaluated for bulk-mining potential.
