This week’s episode features Almonty Industries CEO Lewis Black in conversation with host Adrian Pocobelli on the state of the global tungsten market.
Black examines the Chinese and Western tungsten markets, explaining how China faces surprisingly similar challenges to the West as its own tungsten resources become increasingly depleted. He also discusses the price disparity between the markets and why he expects prices to gradually converge.
Black provides updates on Almonty’s Sangdong tungsten project in South Korea, the company’s work with the U.S. government in Rwanda, as well as its operations in Spain, where it aims to recover tungsten from more than a century’s worth of mining tailings.
This week’s Spotlight features Women in Mining Canada director Rim Fayjhi, who discusses how to participate in the 2027 Women in Mining Canada Trailblazer Awards. To learn more, visit: http://wimcanada.org/trailblazer-awards/
