Temisca plans field work on four gold properties

Four gold properties, totalling 59 claims, have been optioned by Temisca Resources (ME) in Courville Twp., near Senneterre, Que. To earn an 80% interest in the Pershing Manitou, Rolartic, Eastville, and Grandeville properties, Temisca must pay the vendors $247,000, and spend $1,179,000 on exploration over the next 10 years. The company will also issue the vendors 100,000 Temisca shares.

A wide deformation zone, the Manneville break, crosses the properties and hosts several gold occurrences, the largest being the Pershing Manitou zone. This zone was mined in the 1930s and hosts preliminary reserves of 43,350 tons grading 0.23 oz. gold per ton.

Significant gold mineralization has also been found on the Rolartic property where drill intersections in a granitic intrusive have returned values up to 0.17 oz. gold over 92.5 ft. Gold, copper and zinc occurrences are also present on the Eastville and Grandeville properties.

A $300,000 field program will be carried out on the properties in November. The transaction is subject to regulatory approval.
