Tan Range acquires Tanzanian property

A 100-sq.-km gold concession in northern Tanzania has been secured by Tan Range Exploration (ASE). The property in the Igogo Hills area covers a deformed banded iron formation.

Sampling has returned gold values up to five grams per ton gold over a large, deeply weathered area. Since oxidation extends down to around 60 metres, the company believes the mineralization may be amenable to open pit mining and heap leaching. Further exploration and sampling are under way.
