Staking allowed in Eskay area

A “no-staking” reserve covering part of the Eskay Creek area in northwestern British Columbia was lifted by the provincial government early in September.

The 19,600-hectare reserve was imposed in April, 1990, to prevent new claims from being staked in an area that was already covered by many claims, some subject to legal challenges.
