Silverside Resources (TSE) has received the second $346,987 instalment of the price that Deak Resources (TSE) agreed to pay for Silverside’s 87.5% stake in the Garrison gold project near Kirkland Lake, Ont.

The balance of the $705,000 purchase price is due March 31.

Meanwhile, Toronto-based Silverside recently staked a group of 24 claims in Tully Twp., 20 miles northeast of Timmins, Ont. The property is 1.5 miles east and along strike from 14 gold claims optioned recently by Cyprus Gold Canada from Gowest Amalgamated Resources (ASE), New Texmont Explorations (ASE) and Frankfield Explorations (ASE).

The Gowest property contains 300,000 tons grading 0.23 oz. gold per ton in a geological system known as the Frankfield zone. The zone is localized along a mafic-ultramafic geological contact that is straddled by the Sliverside claims for a distance of 3.5 miles along strike.
