Partners drill West Porcupine

Operator Battle Mountain Gold (BMG-N) has begun a 2,000-metre drill campaign at the West Porcupine gold property near Timmins, Ont.

Drilling is targeted for eight areas, each of which is characterized by carbonate alteration and soil and induced-polarization anomalies. The targets are 5-6 km west of the Deerfoot prospect, where previous drilling intersected 3.9 metres grading 15.2 grams gold per tonne and 2 metres grading 6.7 grams.

Battle Mountain owns a 70% interest in the property, with the remainder held equally by Maple Minerals (MAPM-C) and Canadian Golden Dragon Resources (CGG-V).
