Obituaries (July 31, 1989)

Louie Shaheen, a metallurgist and frequent contributor to the Odds ‘n Sods column of The Northern Miner, died recently in Ottawa. A graduate of the Haileybury School of Mines, Shaheen worked as mill foreman in the mineral sciences division at Energy Mines and Resources Canada until his retirement in 1978. Since then, he had worked as a consultant to various mines in northern Ontario.
