Osisko Metals (TSX: OM) has the means to fund preparatory work on its flagship copper project in Quebec for at least four years, communications director Kimberly Darlington says in a new video from The Northern Miner’s London Symposium.

Buoyed by a $107.4-million private placement, Osisko Metals is preparing to start a 70,000-metre drill program on the Gaspé project this year. Having acquired the property from Glencore in 2023, Osisko Metals recently increased the project’s resource copper-equivalent metal content by 53% and doubled the copper-equivalent metal content in its inferred resources.

The private placement, which closed in December, means that Osisko Metals will be fully funded “all the way to a final investment decision, which we expect to reach in 2029,” Darlington said last month.

She spoke with Adrian Pocobelli, The Northern Miner‘s podcast host. Watch the full conversation below. Joint venture videos are paid-for content in arrangement with The Northern Miner.
