LAST BUT NOT LEAST — EMF posts profit for fiscal 1993

The investment firm of European Mining Finance (EMF) is out of the red and into the black.

The company, based in London, England, and registered in Bermuda, made a net profit of $751,175 in fiscal 1993, compared with a loss of $1.2 million in 1992.

Net assets per share rose to $5.15 from $3.60, while the total investment portfolio stands at $2.6 million.

EMF holds interests in companies exploring for gold in England. In addition, it holds a royalty in the Mt. Hamilton gold mine in Nevada, owned by Rea Gold (TSE), and interests in gold and diamond properties in Burkina Faso and the Central African Republic.

EMF’s shares are listed on the Luxembourg Exchange.
