Galico to drill at Hurdman Twp.

Galico Resources (VSE) plans to drill five holes on Noront Resources’ (VSE) property in Hurdman Twp., Ont., before spring breakup.

The program is designed to test the strike and depth potential of Noront’s recent base metal discovery, which returned a 59.7 ft. interval grading 3.1% zinc.

Noront says the mineralized zone occurs in a high-grade metamorphic environment similar to the geology which surrounds the Geco copper-zinc mine at Manitouwadge, Ont.

Galico can earn a 55% interest in the property by making a cash payment of $20,000, issuing 200,000 shares to Noront and spending $2 million on exploration over a 3-year period.

At the Hurdman Creek property about two miles southeast of the discovery, Noront has started line-cutting and geophysical surveying.

Noront can earn a 60% interest in Hurdman Creek by spending $750,000 on exploration over a 3-year period.
