Junior Freewest Resources (TSE) will drill two properties in the Bathurst camp of northern New Brunswick.
High-grade massive sulphide boulders were discovered on the Willett property in 1975. Freewest recently re-established old grids and trenched the original occurrence; in the process, a massive sulphide lens was uncovered, which assayed up to 13.17% copper, 12.83% lead and 9.78% zinc, plus 473.83 grams silver and 4.1 grams gold per tonne. A second such lens was found 250 metres along strike.
These two zones will be tested, as will several geophysical anomalies along an 800-metre section of the “Willett Horizon.”
Drilling will also be carried out on the property that hosts the Orvan Brook massive sulphide deposit. Discovered in 1939, the deposit has a drill-indicated geological resource of 1 million tonnes averaging 6.32% zinc and 2.93% lead, to a depth of 150 metres. Freewest will drill to the 250-metre level and test a section thought to be wider and richer relative to other portions.
