A $4.8-million financing will enable Asquith Resources (ASQH-C) to continue to explore its Roandji gold property in the Central African Republic.
A drill program is already testing the Agoudou Manga target, one of five gold prospects identified on the 2,000-sq.-km property. Previous trenching in this area returned an average grade of 1.67 grams gold per tonne over the entire 37-metre length of the trench.
A gold zone at Agoudou Manga has been traced over a strike length of 1.2 km and is marked by a 600-metre-wide gold anomaly in soil, which has produced values of up to 6.5 grams.
About 3,000 metres of core drilling are planned for the initial phase of work.
