Another mineralized zone has been discovered by partners Chevron Minerals and Stroud Resources on their Hislop gold property southeast of Timmins, Ont. The latest showing comes 1,300 ft northwest along strike of known mineralization, the partners say.
Results from the new zone include 6.6 ft grading 0.188 oz gold per ton and another section of 13.8 ft grading 0.156 oz. Two other holes in the zone cut 15 ft grading 0.29 oz and 6.6 ft assaying 0.164 oz.
The drill program was performed along a section of the Stroud fault zone which hosts two previously discovered zones known as the Main and Creek. The latest program focused on the Creek zone which is known to consist of several mineralized shoots. The newest discovery is called the Footwall shoot and is associated with the Creek zone.
The encouraging drill results will be followed up by another 10,000-ft drill program, expected to start shortly.
