Gold and silver production for the first quarter ended March 31 at the Lawyers mine owned by Cheni Gold Mines (TSE) totalled 13,080 oz. of gold and 250,490 oz. of silver. The mine, in the Toodoggone area of north-central British Columbia, processed 49,080 tons of ore grading an average of 0.29 oz. gold per ton and 6.76 oz. silver.
Cheni expects to produce about 55,000 oz. of gold and 1.2 million oz. of silver this year.
