Central Fund trades in U.S.

Shares of Central Fund of Canada have begun trading on the American Stock Exchange.

A registration statement, filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, covers 1.3 million A shares which were privately placed last summer.

Central Fund is a specialized holding company whose assets are primarily gold and silver bullion. Its objective is to provide an alternative security for clients interested in holding marketable gold- and silver-related investments.
