Surface exploration has indicated geological and geochemical similarities between Barrel Springs and the Lewis and Crofoot mines (heap leach) about three miles away. Granges Exploration (TSE) and Hycroft Resources and Development (VSE) own the mines which have a combined production rate of 88,000 oz per year.
