Sealant experts Minova International has announced plans to relocate its headquarters to Melbourne, Australia, following its recent acquisition by Orica (ORI-A, OCLDF-o).
The relocation puts Minova closer to its most active clients in China, India, Russia and Latin America.
“The move from the U. K. to Melbourne is for both strategic and practical reasons,” said Michael Reich, CEO of Minova, in a press release.
Reich noted that although Minova is repositioning itself an entire continent away, business relations with its clients in the United Kingdom won’t waver.
“Minova was born in Britain where it developed its business and where Minova UK will continue to service its customers in the U. K. and Ireland as part of Minova’s European regional structure.”
In addition to relocating its headquarters, the company is also breaking into three separate regions with each zone focusing on specific areas of business.
The first region is EMEA, which will serve Europe, Russia, Kazakhstan, the Ukraine, North Africa and the Middle East and be headed up by Jan Petzold.
The second region, the Americas, will include Canada, the United States and Latin America. Its CEO will be Bruce Cassidy.
The third region, APA, is comprised of Asia Pacific and Africa. Karen Stoffels is CEO of this region.
Each region will have the ability to “tap into” the group’s international experience and resources.
