Mid-North gold acquisition

A former producing gold property has been acquired by Mid- North Resources. Located near Snow Lake, Man., the property produced 52,849 oz gold between 1936-1940. Known as the Laguna mine, the operation mined 102,409 tons of ore grading 0.52 oz gold per ton, Mid-North says.

Mid-North, which holds an option on the claims, says data from previous operators is being evaluated. The company feels the area has the potential for hosting a large tonnage low grade deposit amenable to open pit mining.
