During the period from June 17 to July 15, 2026, the three largest mining financings and credit-facility transactions totalled approximately C$2.1 billion.
Iamgold (TSX: IMG; NYSE: IAG) led the period with a US$850-million credit facility, worth about C$1.2 billion, followed by Centerra Gold (TSX: CG; NYSE: CGAU) with a US$600-million facility worth about C$822 million and Tintina Mines (TSXV: TTS), which closed a C$91-million private placement. The Iamgold and Centerra figures represent total available commitments under undrawn credit facilities, rather than cash received by the companies.
Iamgold increased its revolving credit facility to US$850 million from US$650 million and extended its maturity to June 17, 2030. The company also retained an option to seek another US$250 million, subject to lender approval. Iamgold said the expanded facility would provide greater flexibility as it advances its operating portfolio and internal growth opportunities.
Tintina Mines closed a non-brokered private placement of subscription receipts for gross proceeds of around C$91 million. The proceeds were being held in escrow pending satisfaction of the escrow release conditions, including regulatory and shareholder approvals and the minority-interest acquisition being ready to close, subject only to payment of the purchase price.
Once released, the net proceeds are expected to fund Tintina’s US$26.25-million acquisition of the remaining 26.25% interest in Andean Belt Resources, its Chilean operating subsidiary holding the Domeyko Sulfuros copper-gold project, and to advance the project through preliminary economic assessment optimization, infill and exploration drilling, environmental baseline studies, permitting, community engagement and preparation of a definitive feasibility study.
