Drilling commences at Beaufield project

Drilling started recently on Beaufield Resources’ joint venture property in the Lac Barry-Macho River area of Quebec.

Joint venture partner Falconbridge Ltd. reports that two drills are currently working on the Macho River claim group, with a third scheduled to be added in late August.

According to Beaufield President G. S. Slightham, six holes have been completed. One of the holes intersected five sections containing visible gold and another intersected three sections of visible gold.

“Stripping and sampling at the claim groups has confirmed highly encouraging values previously obtained by prospecting,” said Mr Slightham.

Surface grab samples from the current program returned up to 0.847 oz gold per ton and channel sampling 0.292 oz.
