Mazarin drilling on 3 properties

Diamond drilling programs have been commenced on three Quebec properties — Scheffor, Wilco and Samson — by Mazarin Inc.

The Scheffor property is located 30 km northwest of Schefferville and is 1,000 sq km in size. The property is jointly owned by Mazarin and Vior Inc.

A minimum of $700,000 is to be spent on the project this summer. The company reports that during last year’s prospecting campaign, a few samples rich in pyrrhotine and arsenopyrite indicated 1 oz gold per ton.

The Wilco property is located at Rouyn-Noranda, adjacent to the Syngold Exploration-Minnova Inc. property. The property is jointly owned by Mazarin, Cambior Inc. and Noranda Ltd.

A drilling campaign last year indicated reserves of 200,000 tons grading 0.29 oz gold, as well as a large altered gold zone, the company reports. The Samson property is located in the Casa Berardi area, in Ste-Helene Twp. The company says last year it drilled a section 5 ft across grading 0.17 oz gold.
