Special event for Science North

The Ontario Ministry of Northern Development and Mines will provide a grant of $10,000 to Science North in Sudbury, Ont., for a special event celebrating the science and technology being developed and utilized in that area of the province.

The event will run at Science North from May to August, and will highlight science and technology in the sudbury area and their relevance to the everyday lives of the citizens in that community.

Four themes will be developed: mining, health, environment and telecommunications.

Activities planned include a show in the Cavern theatre of Science North, interactive exhibits at Science North and at the Big Nickel mine, a speakers’ series and tours of local facilities.
