Territorial rights encompassing 15 states in the U.S. have been granted to American Iron Carbide, a wholly owned subsidiary of Millers Cove Resources (ASE), for the production of iron carbide. Holder of the global iron carbide patents is Iron Carbide Holdings, in which Millers Cove has a 25% interest.
Iron carbide is a synthetic compound made from fine iron ore and natural gas by using a patented iron carbide process. It can be used to replace steel scrap or pig iron in electric and oxygen steelmaking furnaces and in foundries.
