The Canadian Exploration Geophysical Society (KEGS) will host a short course during the week of the annual convention of the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada.
The course, titled “Hardrock Seismics — From Exploration to Development,” is slated for March 9.
The morning session will cover such topics as survey design, field operations, and contracting, whereas the afternoon will be devoted to borehole seismic studies, exploration case histories and geotechnical applications.
The price for those registering before Jan. 15 is $250 for KEGS members and $300 for non-members. Add $50 for registration after Jan. 31, and add $100 for registration after March 1. Space is limited.
The price of registration includes breakfast, lunch and free bar.

The Toronto branch of SRK Consulting will present a workshop on targeting from magnetics. The event is slated for March 9-10 at the Sheraton Convention Centre.
Two of the world’s leading geoscientists, Peter Williams and David Pratt, will provide instruction on targeting under cover, geophysical surveys, and magnetics and gravity.
The workshop is limited to 50 participants, who are required to bring laptop computers.
The cost of the workshop is $800 or $650 if you register before Jan. 31. Student registration is $300.
