Michelle zone boosts Cusac

Production from the Michelle Highgrade zone at the Table Mountain Mine property in northern British Columbia helped Cusac Gold Mines (TSE) report a fourth-quarter profit of $1 million.

Cusac milled 8,414 tons of ore grading an average of 0.62 oz. gold per ton during the period, producing 5,253 oz. gold.

In 1995, Cusac milled 23,695 tons grading 0.56 oz. gold, resulting in a loss of about $580,000 on revenue of $6.53 million.

The mine is expected to produce 20,000 oz. in 1996.
