Curator drill program returns copper-cobalt values at Boleo

Reconnaissance drilling on the Dos de Abril area of the Boleo property in Mexico is returning consistent copper-cobalt values for International Curator Resources (TSE).

Situated in Baja California Sur, the property already hosts significant sediment-hosted copper-cobalt resources, and Curator is working towards completion of a feasibility study by the end of 1996.

Nine drill holes on the Dos de Abril zone returned 1.15% copper and 0.051% cobalt over 9.38 metres, starting at depths ranging from 17.17 metres up to 100.62 metres.

The new zone, which lies northwest of the Saturno-Mercurio area, measures 1,400 by 400 metres and remains open to the north, northeast and east.

The Saturno-Mercurio area was last estimated to contain 61.4 million tonnes grading 0.81% copper and 0.07% cobalt.

Curator is also conducting infill drilling on the Apolo and Saturno West area, east of Dos de Abril. Fourteen holes on the Apolo area returned an average grade of 1.88% copper and 0.053% cobalt over 3.08 metres. Two holes on the Saturno West zone averaged 0.5% copper and 0.049% cobalt over 5.82 metres.

Curator has four rigs drill-ing on the property and expects to drill a further 5,000 metres of drilling before the Christmas break. The resource will be updated at that time.

Curator can acquire the Boleo property subject to certain royalties.
