COATS (over-the-counter) Anglo gains 28 cents

Almost tripling in value, Anglo Swiss Mining topped the most active list for the week ended Nov. 13, as more than 300,000 shares changed hands. Anglo, which gained 28 cents to close at 45 cents, is preparing a feasibility report on the Ladner Creek gold mine in British Columbia. Management could not be reached for comment. Manor Resources, a company resulting from the amalgamation of three private concerns, will soon be listed on the exchange. Manor, which holds several properties in Newfoundland, Nova Scotia and Ontario, has signed a letter of intent with Noranda Exploration for further exploration on its Lake Bond base metal property.

Despite a share value which has remained below 5 cents for several weeks, Portfield Industries has been an active penny stock recently. This week, 135,000 Portfield shares changed hands, gaining 0.5 cents to close at 1.5 cents.

Also active this week, Willingdon Resources picked up 15 cents to close at $1.20 on a volume of 138,415. The company is expecting assay results from its gold property near Kenora, Ont.

Voyager Explorations, which has been paying its shareholders dividends since 1969, recently declared a $1 dividend, payable on Nov. 15., to all shareholders of record on Nov. 10. Along with a royalty interest in the past-producing Sherman iron mine in northern Ontario, Voyager, which was unlisted this week, has interests in several oil and gas projects.
