MinVen finds gold in South Dakota

The first gold button has been poured from the Gilt Edge Mine owned by Colorado-based MinVen Gold Corp. (TSE). Located near Deadwood, South Dakota, the Gilt Edge Mine is owned and operated by MinVen’s wholly-owned subsidiary Brohm Mining Corp.

The first dore button yielded 207 oz of gold and 327 oz of silver and marks the start-up of the company’s fourth mining operation.

Gold production from the oxide ore reserves at the Gilt Edge Mine is expected to average 43,000 oz per year once full production is attained. Oxide ore reserves at the mine total 6.1 million tons with an average grade of 0.046 oz gold per ton.
