International Sintered Metals of Guelph, Ont., has been acquired by Sintermetallwerk Krebsoge gmbh, a West German- based manufacturer of precision sintered metal components of the automotive and other industries. The acquired firm, ISM KREBSOGE, will employ 88 people and is part of a long- term plan to establish strong manufacturing bases in both Europe and North America, Krebsoge says. The 44-year-old parent company has four operating units in West Germany and employs about 1,200 people.
