LETTERS Wrong Sponsor

I am writing with regard to your mention of the Prospectors’ Triathlon, in the Cross-cuts section of the June, 1987, issue.

I feel it is my obligation to bring to your attention that it is the Porcupine Branch of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canad a that is sponsoring and co-ordinating the event. It was incorrectly mentioned that the Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy was the sponsoring body.

I need not go into why this distinction should be made. Many people are putting much time into the event, and proper recognition is only right. John Laitin, Chairman, Triathlon Committee, Porcupine Branch, PDAC, Timmins, Ont.
