DIAMOND NEWS ROUNDUP — United Reef plans to market more diamonds

In June, a newly commissioned recovery plant at the MBala project in the Central African Republic enabled United Reef (URP-T) to recover 486.48 carats of diamonds from the processing of 7,907 tonnes of alluvial gravel.

The company says 943 individual diamonds were recovered during the month, resulting in an average stone size of 0.52 carat, which exceeds the average size of diamonds (0.46 carat) recovered in May.

United Reef and its 20% joint-Venture partner plan to market about 1,500 carats from the property later this month.
