Eurus’ drilling confirms strike extension of 21C zone

A recent hole drilled by Eurus Resource (VSE) to test for the projected strike extent of the Eskay Creek 21C zone returned a 13.1-ft. intersection (636.3-649.4 ft.) grading 0.96 oz. gold and 3.16 oz. silver per ton. The hole was the first drilled by the junior on its Albino Lake property, strategically located north and west of the Eskay Creek property, which is owned by Prime Resources Group (VSE) and Stikine Resources (VSE).

Prime and Stikine jointly hold the right to earn a 50% interest in the Albino Lake property which includes a portion of a staking gap some 40 m wide between the TOK 3-4 and TOK 1-2 claims of the Eskay Creek project.

Hole 90-670 was drilled to test for the projected strike extent of the 21C zone within the TOK claim gap. Eurus said assays from the hole “confirm the presence of the 21C zone mineralization” underlying the Eurus-controlled portion of the gap. It should be noted that Prime and Stikine have not yet announced a reserve estimate for the 21C zone.

Assays are awaited for three additional holes which were drilled to test the strike and downdip potential of the 21C zone in the area of the claim gap. Eurus is also drilling to test an IP (geophysical) chargeability anomaly within the northern portion of the Albino Lake property.

Eurus, like many other companies in the immediate Eskay Creek area, is awaiting a decision on the status of certain claims which were challenged by outside parties on the basis of Section 35 complaints. Investigations were carried out this summer by the Gold Commissioner’s office and rulings are expected soon.

In a separate venture, Eurus and affiliated company Thios Resources (VSE) can collectively earn a 100% interest in the Rock & Roll project from Prime Resources. This polymetallic prospect is in the Iskut River area, some six miles from the Snip gold mine owned 60% by Cominco and 40% by Prime.

Recent sampling on the Rock & Roll property has returned high values in gold, silver, lead, zinc and copper.
