NEWS ROUNDUP — Nevsun drilling in western Mali

A second phase of drilling is under way at the Tabakoto gold concession in western Mali.

Nevsun Resources (VSE) is drill-testing 1,000 metres of a 2,500-metre-long zone of mineralization marked by extensive artisanal mine workings. The drilling will follow up two holes drilled last summer at the southern end of the workings.

Both holes intersected a 30-metre-wide alteration zone, with one hole returning 5.3 metres grading 4.6 grams per tonne, and a further 3.55 metres grading 3.7 grams. The second hole, drilled 50 metres along strike from the first, returned 12.8 metres grading 3 grams.
