Toronto-listed Campbell Resources (TSE) has opted to acquire the Wildcat gold project, formerly held by Lac Minerals.
Situated 80 miles northeast of Reno, Nev., the property was recently subjected to 45,000 ft. of reverse-circulation drilling. The work confirmed the existence of 72 million tons averaging 0.016 oz. gold per ton. Shallow intersections from two holes were 0.233 oz. over 80 ft., and 0.069 oz. over 145 ft. (including 0.105 oz. over 85 ft.).
Campbell believes the potential exists to find a smaller, higher-grade deposit within the large resource.
In addition, the property hosts other exploration targets, and exploration will be carried out this year.
