Toronto-based Aur Resources (TSE) recently commenced field work on a 63-claim base metal property in the Joutel-Poirier area about 100 miles north of Val d’Or, Que.
Under an agreement with Charlim Explorations (VSE), Aur can earn a 70% stake in the property by spending $2 million on exploration and purchasing $250,000 worth of Charlim common shares by April, 1997.
Aur is already committed to spending $100,000 this year and has subscribed for 200,000 Charlim shares at 25 cents each.
With diamond drilling scheduled to begin this winter, Aur is looking for economic copper-zinc massive sulphide deposits within volcanic rocks underlying the Joutel-Poirier property.
