NEWS ROUNDUP — Vior drilling Douay property

Three drills are active at the Douay gold property of Societe d’Exploration Miniere Vior (ME) near Joutel, Que., the company reports.

Aim of the $600,000 drilling program is to increase the reserves of zone 531 which was discovered last year. Zone reserves are estimated to be 764,000 tons grading 0.14 oz. gold per ton.

Vior said the program should last until the end of February. Thereafter, Soquem will begin drilling on the western part of the property as per an option agreement with Vior.

Vior raised $850,000 in a public financing completed in December.
