Canmine drills Fer property

A 1,000-ft. diamond drill program has commenced on Canmine Resources’ (CDN) 100% owned Fer polymetallic property north of Flin Flon, Man. Drilling will focus on the Yak zone where previous drilling has intersected values up to 5.3% zinc and 0.25% copper over 3 ft. (T.N.M., Aug. 3/92).

A recently completed prospecting program has discovered a galena-bearing siliceous sericite-sillimanite gneiss unit about one mile northwest of the Fer zone. Assays from this new occurrence are pending.

The company is also seeking funding under the Manitoba Mineral Exploration Incentive Program to carry out a gravity survey and 15,000 ft. of drilling in January, 1993.

In other developments, the company confirms that all agreements to acquire mineral properties in Mexico have now been terminated. Canmine is planning to concentrate their efforts on the Fer property.
