Pierre Lassonde, president of Newmont Mining and arguably the most successful Quebec native in the gold industry, will be the honourary president of the inaugural Quebec Exploration 2003 conference, to be held at the Chteau Frontenac in Quebec City on November 24-27.
The conference is a joint effort between the Association de l’exploration minire du Qubec (formerly the Association des prospecteurs du Qubec) and Quebec’s Ministry of Natural Resources, Wildlife and Parks.
Conference delegates will explore Quebec’s mineral potential, with presentations and displays from both industry and government.
