Four months after opening, precious metal production has surpassed one ton at NovaGold Resources’ (TSE) Murray Brook gold mine, 50 miles west of Bathurst, N.B. Since the mill startup last September, the small operation has produced 1.2 tons of dore with a precious metals content of 3,600 oz. gold and 30,000 oz. silver. Metal shipments are made weekly to the Johnson Matthey refinery in Brampton, Ont.
