COATS Quiet mood

An active trader this week was cash-rich Atlantic Goldfields which has witnessed a number of shuffles by controlling shareholders in recent months. Although volume was more than 100,000 shares, the issue was relatively unchanged at 63 cents -73 cents .

Several companies with gold claims in Chester Twp. Ont., traded actively including Young-Shannon Gold Mines which has drills turning on its 11-claim property. It was better this week at $1.40-$1.60, although no new results from the work have been released. Other area claimholders, Chester Minerals and Gordon Leliever’s Gold Bar Resources, were also active.

Two issues which slipped lower this week were Langis Silver & Cobalt at 30 cents and Craibbe-Fletcher Gold at 28 cents -33 cents . Falling precious metal prices could be dampening enthusiasm for those stocks.
