Goldbank acquires Kamloops prospect

Goldbank recently staked the 134-claim Mila property, where three mineralized zones, measuring up to 1,000×150 m, have been delineated. They occur within a felsic volcanic package of the Eagle Bay formation.

Previous work focused largely on copper while the polymetallic potential has not been fully exploited, according to Goldbank Ventures.

Recent grab samples from all three zones have returned strongly anomalous precious and base metal values up to 0.009 oz gold per ton 0.057 oz silver, 0.6% copper, 0.2% lead and 0.2% zinc.

A fourth zone also returned a number of highly anomalous gold values (up to 0.34 oz) along the entire 5,500 m length of a major drainage system in the area.

A brief reconaissance program has also resulted in a couple of discoveries in the Goldrun Creek placer area of northwest British Columbia. Located 96 km south of Haines Junction, B.C., the property is said to be underlain by a Pennsylvanian to Upper Triassic sedimentary volcanic complex known as the “Alexander Terrane.”

Grab sample material from an altered limestone-barite unit returned values of 0.135 oz gold, 6.58 oz silver per ton and 37.8% barite.
