News in Brief (March 13, 1989)

Initial test production has started at the newly completed 5-ton-per- day prototype commercial plant for recovery of platinum group metals from spent autocatalysts, reports Platinum Lake Technology (COATS). Based on processing 200 tons per month, Platinum Lake Technology expects to produce up to 3,000 oz of PGM’s per month.

International Homestock Resources has changed its name to Coscient Group on a share-for-share basis.

Lasir Gold Inc. has changed its name to Lasir Gold Industries on a share-for-share basis.
