Diamond drilling contractor N. Morissette Canada announces the retirement of Dave Anderson. He joined Morissette in 1962 and has been president and general manager since 1976. In total, he has close to 40 years experience in diamond drilling and related exploration fields. The following appointments were also announced: Dare Fowler, president; Peter Henderson, vice-president and general manager; Clarence Watson, vice-president in charge of Ontario and western Canada; and Rom o Brouillette, vice-president in charge of Quebec and eastern Canada. The following appointments have been announced for the recently merged firm of Asea Brown Boveri: John Bennet, vice-president, human resources; Borje Fredriksson, executive vice- president, industry segment; Sven Hindrikes, executive vice-president, finance, control and administration; Ren Marcoux, vice-president, corporate business relations , also responsible for export activities; and Pierre St-Arnaud, executive vice-president, power transmission segment. The company is the result of a merger between the Asea Group in Sweden and the Brown Boveri Group in Switzerland. In Canada, the new company employs some 1,100 people. Bryan Webb has been promoted to general manager of Instrument Rentals Canada, based in Mississauga, Ont. He has held a variety of management positions with irc since 1985, most recently as branch manager.
