COATS Trading Features (May 04, 1987)

New Athona Mines added a dime to 35 cents on news that its northern Saskatchewan gold property has been optioned. Lenora Explorations, a Toronto Stock Exchange-listed junior, has optioned the claims near Beaverlodge. Lenora says the New Athona property has 3 million tons of open pit reserves grading 0.07 oz gold per ton, with plenty of potential for more.

Card Lake Resources continued at $1.50. The company is busy with a gold porperty in the Harker- Holloway area, Ont. Drilling is set to start this month. Caviar Resources was also stronger at 85 cents -95 cents . The company has a gold prospect in McMurray Twp., southeast of Wawa, Ont. Yet another resource company, after missing in the mining game, is getting into the industrial field. August Porcupine Gold Mines plans to amalgamate with a U.S. company which holds the rights to an emergency automobile starting device. August closed at 85 cents -95 cents ; up from 35 cents .

Other better issues included Regal Goldfields at 90 cents -$1 and Luxor Explorations which traded up to 30 cents from 10 cents last week.
